The Bend Motorsports Park, a complex of circuits which can hol events for many varied wheeled activity. It is the second longest permanent race tracks in the world and has bee classed as a Grade 2 by the FIA
The founder of this facility is the Peregrine Corporation which is owned by the Shahin family. Together with the South Australian Government they put plans together for develop the site which was formely a mitsubishi test track.
Its was granted approval in 2015 to be built and with contributions from State and federal Funds and the development started the following year. The pits buildings where constructed in 2017 and includes a rydges Hotel on the upper floors.
2018 saw the offcial opening of the complex.
The track itself combines technical corners, fast flowing sections and an aggregate rise and fall of 85 metres to ensure exciting racing and an enjoyable drive. With a full total of eight configurations, it can accommodate a wide range of racing and driving activity.
The circuit held its first event in January 2018 - the Revolve24 Endurance Cycling Challenge - ahead of its opening motorsport event, a round of the Shannons Nationals in April, quickly followed by the Australian Superbikes and Asia Road Racing Championships combined event. The headline event, however, is the annual visit on the International Circuit of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. From 2020 the event has become a 500km endurance round, replacing Sandown as the traditional warm-up event for the Bathurst 1000.
International motorsport also returns to South Australia in 2020 with the arrival of the Asian Le Mans Series in January.

Racing Circuit Info
The Bend Motorsport Park is located at Elwomple, not far from the town of Tailem Bend in South Australia. The nearest International Airport is in Adelaide which is an hour's drive, straight down the South Eastern Freeway. The main entrance is on the East side of the Dukes Highway unless advised otherwise (eg. for special events). See LinkSA for bus routes within the Murray region.
